Historical Fiction

I happened upon myself to find a book that I particularly enjoyed a few months ago just browsing the shelves at the bookseller.  It is called the Whiskey Rebels.  I was particularly moved that one of the positive characters in the book was jewish and portrayed in a very positive light.   That was interesting and I found myself reading more by this author.  His other books which are 6 to date include 3 with a main character who is a Jewish Pugilist named Benjamin Weaver.  The author's name is David Liss.  I had thought that he was a gentile who had a particular liking for the Jewish people.  Not so, I have learned.  Mr. Liss is in fact Jewish as reported online.  So I have a new author that I enjoy.  His genre is historical fiction.  Its been an interesting good read so far. I'm on my 3rd book, his first right now.  I would hereby recommend his books if you are interested in intrigue with unexpected twists.  Good stuff.
