Leviticus teachings

I must say that I find this topic disagreeable, but since this is a Torah discussion and I believe I can add some sanity to the universe, please let me approach this controversal topic.
I must say I was just reading in Leviticus some of the forbidden sexual acts.  One does definately involve a man who lies with another man the way that a man lies with a woman. This is in the scriptures.  I must add that later it says that any person who does such an act is "cut off from his people".
What does this mean.  Does this mean he can no longer come over to his families house for dinner.  (Or she if it is one of the other offensive sexual acts that I am not here describing).   Not at all.  It is not a place for us to discriminate against another for his or her act of blasphemous heresy.  It is indeed a sexual sin.  I must add that if one wishes to have a place with his people, he should think of in the next world, rather than in the world we know.  I can not be the one to speak the truth on a matter that is yet to be seen by any living soul, but I will attest that it is my belief that being cut off from ones people means that in the world to come, you will not be included among the Jewish souls.   I dont say that you are going to the place people commonly describe as "hell".  I digress as to hell's consequences and say only that I believe in a place where a soul is purified if possible for entry to the world to come.  Rather, I believe that your soul in the world to come will be in a state that is disconnected from the mass of the Jewish souls that exist.  Sound right?
I apologize for the smugness of this commentary, but it was a topic I've had on my mind.   I am in no way homophobic and support gay causes. I have donated to PFLAG.  But that said, if you feel that your soul must only exist with another of your same gender on earth, please abide by Torah law and do not consort in such a way that you are separated from your people.
