To Leon, a lion in the age of dignity

Dear My Step Grandfather on my fathers side of the family, Leon Chaykin,
Indeed you are the fellow who was the eldest of my youthful advisors and contributors.  Indeed you looked after my loving careful grandmother for near 40 years or more.  I admire your strength of dignity, fortitude of honor and your special talent shaping my life in many ways that many would not appreciate, but I am keenly aware of in the days that I have fortunately made your acquaintance and enjoyed your eager enthusiasm to be my friend and my grandfather by proxy.  Indeed you made a stong impression from the get go that I can remember.  You approached me as a young man.  In my younger days of childhood, life and youth.  I believe you were a very intelligent and strong thinking fellow that indeed may have touched me only a number of times in person, on the phone and clearly through the happiness of my grandmother.    It was always a glad moment when I met with you.  Time was not always good to you as you suffered maladies that are troublesome.  It never blunted your enthusiasm.
Times of trouble and times of lackluster indeed may show us many things.  Remembering you is always a dignity.
With amiable love,
Love,
Craig
