Rebuilding Jerusalem

As mentioned in the previous blog entry, Jerusalem refers to not just the capital of the world and the holiest place on the Earth's surface, but it is also allegorious to your own soul.

I like the book of Isaiah chapter 34. Very useful read.

Is 34 talks about the things that are in the city that are brining disrepute to Israel.
This city is obviously Jerusalem and its not the place on the map as much as it is your soul and perhaps the soul of the Jewish people.

Jackdaws, great owls, hyenas, buzzards, wildcats, ravens, demon-goats and arrow snakes have taken their place in the city.
There is hardening of the turf and there is thistles and thorns and brush all around.
The city is in ruins.

This may be your soul.
True you do not understand why it got there, but when your are now in your 40s reading the bible, think of the blemishes in your past and the wickedness and unorthodox ways of your younger days. They have changed your soul.

Give to charity, address your sins and clean up your ways and Jerusalem will become a more adjusted and healthy place.

Soon when you are done, all of the above will be gone from your soul and the Eagles will return to rest in your mind and being.
That is the way of the Book you must read.
