Here is an article on the web today discussing the zealous editing of common day writings and references in order to purify the society that we enjoy. This is heresy. The "G-dly" are some of the most nearly G-dless in our waving blue and white flag of Judaism.
http://failedmessiah.typepad.com/failed_messiahcom/2011/11/haredim-launch-kosher-dictionary-345.html
The religious zealots in the reaches of trying to be G-dly in excess of G-dliness have erased important parts of the world. Call it the pretaliban movement of the Jewish world, this orders that we no longer behave and interrelate to G-d as G-d knows we are afforded in a world of freedoms, instead we edit and remove the trust and intelligent paradigms that our human world exists from the front page of our childrens future.
The Artscroll Tanakh is a fine example. They completely changed the words to the Song of Songs among other chapters of the bible. They have edited out the rain from the sunshine. This is sad and unfortunately its the norm today as the religious right is more fearful of the slight of the mind rather than the fear of G-d.

Seeking fame fortune and ill gotten gain
I live in a neighborhood with a 25 mph speed limit.
Nothing troubles me more overall in my neighborhood than the arrogant, selfish likely wicked and foolish people that drive by my home going 40-50 mph whenever they so choose.
Tonight I am out smoking my pipe and a car peels out of the street near by to drive by my home at least going 40-45 mph. It is just a horrible epidemic and of course, it is a product of the self entitlement culture that permeates a lawless society of people who disavow the exactments of civility in search of their own priviledge and first place connotation of never surrendering their own heights of the heirarchical wants, desires and freeworld given right to do what they want to get ahead and get there first and be the most sought after soul in the planet at large.
Do I read this wrong or is it that the safety of others and even your self is not a priority today.
I only have to say that tonight at 5 am here, I heard that likely same vehicle screech in braking somewhere down the road. Its a nice evening here. Freezing rain and freezing temperatures. Nice slick roads. Nice time to go through a populated area at twice the legal speed. What a wonder.
The pressures of an unfriendly and unweilding place of business perhaps are the culprit in some cases. In others its just the desire to do your own choice of lifestyle and presence. And of course, noone can argue that if you really had an emergency you might be forgiven. But in truth, lets keep the speed limit.
Now I really do feel like an old man, but a kid might not like it either.

Disavowing there is law and order in our years
A comment on a Vos Iz Neias Blog entry today denoted that Mr. Michael Jackson was "50", so noone could tell him what to do or direct him really into any treatment program for his drug use.
I wrote the following reply to this fellow (the 3rd commenter).

Sincerity is a way of blessing your would be way of being a Jew. A person's age does not negate in any way the capacity and obligation of a society to offer him healing and services. To say that Michael was 50 and thus his problems are not a child's problems any more is like announcing to the planet that you are a bonifide adult without any pain and suffering and that you have it all under your belt from the time you turn... say.. what....18?? 30??? 60. No thanks. G-d is our enforcer of understanding and life and thus if you want to play too old to have prayers, then you are simply either not intelligently abridged in your own Torah or you simply do not care.

Calling them liberals
I must remark that the fact is very simple that a liberal is not a designation for a human being. The fact is that they are liberal minded and not a liberal anything. They are not liberals in the same sense that you are not a screwer of light bulbs. You are a person who may screw in a light bulb.
So if I can detract from the ingrained heresy of the especially radical right of our towns and vicinity, the real way to talk about liberalism is to denote that someone is liberal minded rather than a liberal.
And the same goes for the conservative minded Americans. You can be quaint and say they are conservatives, but in truth they are conservative minded.
So if you want to give to the radical destructive minds on the right, keep calling people liberals. You will not be a proper spoken person and you will simply be in fact endorsing a system which does in fact offer itself to a radical way of patronizing the established proper order of mankind by segregating it into one group or another. In effect, we all can be both conservative and liberal minded in many of the situations we encounter and one modality does not in fact negate or trump the other.

Distressing the Teachings
True to fact, money is the great axiom which the planet we exist places its existential needs and concerns.
True money is not going to grow in trees and of course, money may not always be at your fingertips;
But in reality, the common good that we trade is no more or no less than a material of existence that exists in time and space and only in time and space.
The money we hold in our hands is a modality of the planet we stand upon. It does clearly not follow us in the future if we leave this world to another. And it can not. I am sure the whole world hears that phrase "can't take it with you" ten thousand times in their lifetimes.
But of course, the axiom as I have discussed in reality is Truth.
Truth is the true axiom. Money is a commodity that stays on this planet.
True your days are better when there is a plenty of that commodity, but in truth, that commodity does not mean you are going to fail in your mission on this planet.
One of the greatest heresies I have experienced was at a casino gambling table. There was a man on the far left and as this was the game of blackjack, he was curious about the guy on the far right. As I have forgotten the ins and outs of blackjack perhaps or just that I am not going to decypher games of chance online, I will simply say that I recall that the guy on the Right makes a decision first and makes the table go in a certain direction.
So thus, the guy on the Left made a sinister and harrowing comment that "money was the factor that might be lost" if there was a novice at the right most position and that this somehow was in a different special sphere of greatness because it was money that we were holding in our hands (actually it is chips that have a monetary value. no money was being put on the table of course, not in the sense that you can spend a 100 dollar casino chip at Midway Airport to say buy a Ticket to Spain. You can not). But of course, There is no sequence of events that starts with your money and the gaming that you are doing, except that you have made a choice to lay your holdings down and hope for happy returns and "winnings". In truth, you have simply spent your time evaluating and endorsing the games of chance and you are simply a fool who wants to acquire more wealth and prosperity yet you do not trust that the game of chance is going to be perfect for your best hand to be dealt.
So for you who benight yourself a gaming champion who wants to make certain that his money is well guarded and well protected for which you will scare a newby away from the table, I hereby accuse you of G-dless heresy and that your winnings are not your doing and your profits from the game of chance are not dependant on the interests and beginnings of any other person at the table. Its chance either way you look at it and noone is going to be your friend when its their 'money' too thats up for grabs.

Gobs of omlets and applesauce
I write this in love of my mother. I happen to find myself in the realm of busying myself with the esoteric and elliptically orderly and universal beliefs and involvement and timeless journeys into my own soul and my mind and thus my writings and of course, at moments like these, there is the sanity of the world that dictates that your physical presence is the common denominator and thus in the case of tonight, there is a call for telling me where my meal will be (my mother and father whose home I am in today wanted to tell me where to get a meal since they were not going to be in the house for dinner tonight). I guess it is wonderful to have caring relatives, but I attest that if you are writing about life, you are really not in the frame of existence to think about the physicality of your own today and tomorrow unless of course you are famished or in pain or suffering in some way.
So I must apologize for it is not my intent to smear or castigate those whom I have loving relationships, but damn it. LET ME LIVE MY LIFE IN SOLACE AND HAPPINESS. Thanks
So I must apologize for it is not my intent to smear or castigate those whom I have loving relationships, but damn it. LET ME LIVE MY LIFE IN SOLACE AND HAPPINESS. Thanks
What is Truth
Truth is an everlasting axiom of everything that can and will and should and could and perhaps rightfully does exist and could exist and might exist and waa meant to exist and did in fact exist and came to exist and will exist and tomorrow will be here and was here before you were here and will be here long after you are gone.
Truth was here before time and truth will exist in the times after time exists or existed.
To touch the truth is to touch your own completiom and your own formation.
To contemplate the truth is to begin your universal existence and run it to eternity if that may be your fate of course. (If you did not kill anyone you might havae a chance I think).
So this is the paradigm that G-d has created for all of us to grasp. There is truth and there is you. And you are here for a reason and Truth always is true no matter what.
So if you want to know the truth, you are going to rely on the truth and if you lose the truth, you will have to ruin and ruin and ruin and ruin your own plans as you will not have a future and you will not succeed.

Why is there a G-d and a Universe?????
I happened to be turning over and over all the things people think about the origins of the planet, the world and mankind. There are of course that which is written in the Bible that for a simple guy like me, it works and I like it and I happen to believe that G-d is real and that G-ds word somehow is probably somewhat exactly the truth and time is only G-ds invention for the given universe of mankind.
That of course angers and outrages the radical atheistic part of our population who say that there was evolution and that the billion billion billion year old world is from a big bang of sorts and that there is no G-d and that they are all evoultionary pieces of perfection except perhaps a few of us with mental illness or congenital abnormallities. Make sense?
Well, if there was in fact a big bang. Of which I suggest to you indicates if you think this way that you are likely smoking a Big Bong, I think that clearly there was mass and matter and that in some place in the past past past, it had to be formed somehow. Does this mean that even if you think of a world that was the product of millions and trillions of years of evolution, that there is still no Creator, or was there way that the matter just existed or just did you think that There was a special substance of everything that always was and always will be.
Thus I conclude, there must be a beginning of time and thus a creation per se by a Creator.
So to me, I have arrived at the final impossible question of existence.
The fact is that there is a G-d and the fact is that we do exist in time.
The facts may be that time has a definate beginning. That investigated, what difference does it make to the beginnings of time if it began with a big bang or the fact that G-d created the Heavens and the Earth, now 5772 years ago by Jewish historical Record.
So where can we arrive at thinking that there is a G-d and that there is a purpose for this world to exist. What is the facts that are there in the beginning.
I can not think that G-d simply began to exist or that he comes from another galaxy, universe or some other existence prior to being our G-d and being our Creator.
But I can wonder why is there what is and what was it here to create and asnwer and write for the universe to exist and evidence and base its entire scope of human creation and endeavor.
Was it the fact that there is truth and if that is so, is truth from beginnings of time or even does truth exist without time and place.
Perhaps I will suggest that there is always truth and that truth in itself is why there is anything.
Truth is why there is G-d and truth is why you and I are here.
So truth will always be true and pure and truth is the full purpose of life and the universe.
Thus there will be a universe and Truth will be the modality that G-d and man will live and interrelated and exist in all the confines of an eternity of time and now space and Eternity may indeed be without time, but not without truth.

Sin and Sobriety
I will remark here that my blog is clearly a jewish blog with religious beliefs and intersts. Notice that I guess I never get into a sin free kick about writing about things like the sins of man and the errors that we make in terms of our special desire to get that life and experience that we really like.
Sins, we've all made them.
There is not a sin that is not known to man right?
I personally like the 3 dollar book called Viduy which is a book to be read at the time of Yom Kippur to confess your sins. Jew and non-jew alike, this book is a great read and tells it as it is. This will break your habits. This will hone your health and holiness of your soul and being.
But in truth, heresy is the impurity of the day that I as a physician is my job to study, report and admonish.
In truth heresy is what tells us that we would enjoy the world of sin.
And as for the sins of man, I say this:
Its not a jesus world folks. Jesus is not the savior of my people and if you want him, hes all yours.
As for me, I know that God never made a man or woman who did not have a sin in thier time. The fact that there oould be a man without sin makes me think that G-d is a G-d that does not not love prayers.
for this is a truth that I have learned.
The sins of our youth form the prayers of our future.
And I am apt to think that our Creator likes a smart and heartfelt and rightful prayer from the heart and soul.
So don'r run around in the world of sin your whole life.
Find a place to find your own personal confession in time and thus find your place in the heavens.

What the books of the Bible are about
Each book of the bible has its usefulness to the reader of the bible.
The first five books of Moses are about order.
The book of Joshua is about setting up.
The book of Judges is about practicing religion.
The books of Samuel are about victory.
The books of Kings are about practicality.
The books of the prophets are about merit.
The book of pslams is about faith.
The book of Proverbs about wisdom.
The book of Job about strength.
The book of Ruth about service.
The book of Song of Solomon is about Peace and Beauty.
The book of Ecclesiastes is about remaining worldly and wise.
The book of Lamentations is about contrition and appreciation.
The book of Daniel is about consideration.
The book of Ezra and Nehemia is about Work Ethics and Rightfulness.
The book of Esther is about Amazement, Effort and Fortitude.
The books of Chronicles are about beneficience, station, dignity, growth and leadership.
Just a sample of what the Bible does in fact offer to the reader.

Gaining strength through the Bible
The bible is very useful.
The words are the pure words of our G-d and they have power in their formation.
The words of the bible can dispell any difficulties and any woe or pain or suffering in your life.
I was watching a documentary about the Civil War one day and it told that before a very difficult time in President Lincoln's presidency, he spent much time reading the bible. In fact, the report stated that a servant happened to view the chapter that Lincoln was reading and it was the book of Job.
This strikes me as intelligently awesome. The book of Job fortells the amazing distress and tribulation and troubles of a man who is innocent and yet has to fight off a great evil.
The book of Job is very useful if you are in need of inner strength or fortification.

Financing power
Here is another Rabbi Schneerson quote I was able to find tonight.
According to a rabbi's twitter, the rabbi said:
"you don't find yourself in a situation - you put yourself in a situation".
This actually sounds more like a coach than a rabbi. This was said it said in 1968.
In truth, we are looking for rabbinic leaders, not someone to get us to run to home plate.
In fact, if you want to be orthodox, G-d puts you in a situation. G-d and Torah are the sources of all Power. If you think that wanting something to happen is going to make it happen, perhaps you will be motivated, but you need to thank your Creator.

Impurities of spoken commands
Regarding Rabbi Schneerson, A'H: "The Rebbe taught, if the Nazis searched for every Jew with hate, we must search out every Jew with love".
Well this goes to the heart of some of the inconsistencies of a rabbi who wanted to be lord.
The fact is actually that searching out with love is like sowing a field and hoping that it grows tomatoes.
In fact, the orthodox right way of searcing out another jew is to search out every jew with Life.
In fact if you search with love, you may find sadness, but if you search with life you will find more life.
Semantics of course, but the difference between a command properly written and a command foolishly issued is the difference between health and disease.
Thanks.

My charges against the ChaBaD
The ChaBaD is the world leading jewish organization of the Jewish Orthodox Torah Orientated Variety today.
This is a thing that should have been a strong and positive free force of Jewish Value and Worth.
I attest that due to the fact that I have encountered much distaste among the few I have known, I must not endorse this organization as a professional experience for a Jew to become orthodox overall.
Indeed the future is good for all of us who adhere to Torah Law.
Israel is in the hands and graces of our G-d and Creator.
But the fact is, the ChaBaD is so far in my experiences unresponsive to inquests and queries to ascertain why there are manifestations of disregard for Torah Law in their congregations.
I have learned much negative about ChaBaD from reading the blogosphere over the past few years.
I have been shunned and turned away from having a positive jewish life in my own community.
Here are my charges to date:
1. ChaBaD does not adhere fully to Torah Law. (an example of this is that they do not wear side locks and may even shave their corners of their scalp).
2. ChaBaD is preferential.
3. ChaBaD is over promoted.
4. ChaBaD does not reply to inquiries sent to its home office. (1 letter and more than a few phone calls).
5. ChaBaD avoids American Life. And ChaBaD does not promote the fulfillment of Torah Duties to the community as it does not endorse in many situations owning a television or other media. I may not know if this is a national policy and I think not, but it is that the rabbi in my town refuses to own a television set as I am told and to me that strikes me as being reticent and reluctant to enjoy and promote American Values. This is because too much of today's culture is shared on the media of the video and televised programming and thus if you do not have a television and refuse to involve yourself as a viewer of the American Landscape, you are negating the value and right to exist of the main world that has ensured that we have a nation to live, participate and that offers us freedom and protections. This to me stikes me as spiteful and I can not endorse a civilization that does not confer with the universe at large. Thus I can not support a situation where the "evil" television is removed from our culture. This is not a Torah Value.
6. ChaBaD relies on serveral new age rabbinic teachings called the Tanya which are not accepted overall in the Jewish orthodox community.
7. The Lubavitch Rebbe Menachem Schneerson, a'h was not righteous in that he imposed cherem on numerous persons and refused to allow persons to exist in the Jewish community for problems that he had personally or professionally. This was not an issue of Torah Law or criminal conduct.
The excommunication of Jewish souls from the community is a crime against Torah and it should not be forgiven or forgotten.
8. ChaBaD continues to do activities of excommunication against those who speak against its conduct and way of business.
Starlight in the eyes of many
I have had some interactions with ChaBaD in the past which are not particularly positive, but seeing the photograph of the Rabbis together in Brooklyn, I have a sense of hope for the future.
I wrote this letter to the Rabbi I previously documented under the blog entry "impurity and impertinence.

When you actually look like mensches, it is a pleasure to donate to the ChaBaD. This photograph was a nice photograph.
I hope that perhaps if you can come together as a group of leaders in G-ds name, you can indeed do your job as a group of rabbis.
So for your future, I have offered a donation to ChaBaD today.
I hope that your children grow up to learn that we are not a people of masked priorities and we do in fact stand for Torah.
-------------
I hope that the fellow whom I have negative experiences in the past will read my responsa to the fact that I am someone who has told him in the past that I have no plans to offer the ChaBaD any donations and consider that there is more at stake than his petty foolish campaign to fight for his rabbi friends narcissistic needs. I did not anticipate making a donation ever again in my lifetime, but seeing that there is a plan by our Creator to bring us together as people of the Torah and the Laws of Moses, I think that it is a good donation to volunteer. I am not keen on a society that discriminates against Torah Abiding Jews, but a show of faith is always a possiblity and if this group can show its face to the world and offer us a positive image of Jews living under Torah Law, I can indeed show them a positive bank check for their success.

When to dress in Black Attire
This is a great photograph. This is the ChaBaD's rabbi conference in Brooklyn, New York this week.
This is the time to dress in Black Attire. This is an occasion. This is the real thing.
Nice photograph, you guys look good.

Evaluating my writing......
Do you enjoy the works I have put together here on Heresy and Good Fortune? Do you enjoy any of the other 8 blogs that are attached?
I do not think that today I am a helter skelter criminal of the pen. I do not think I ever really was such a creepy and withdrawn writer in any sense.
I was reading an article about Kurt Vonnegut today and I was forced to recall my senior high school year term paper. I was in an AP english class and I had to read a book and write an indepth analysis of the details and conflicts in the writing.
I chose Mother Night.
I must admit that I had many things going on in that day including an after school job that took 20 hours or so a week as well as homework from I think a total of 5 AP classes. Not an easy load I think.
I was up all night the very last night I had time to work on the Term Paper. I was scheduled to go by bus to Washington D.C. the following morning for a Close Up Program. I was excited, yet I had absouletely a must to get this term paper done.
I wrote all night, at least 4-5 hours of writing.
I admit that it was not the exact dissertation of true scholarly quality that deserves a place in the Smithsonian, but I do recall making several valid arguments and writing the details of dissertation that corresponded.
I got the paper back. A "D minus". I was never so humiliated in all of my high school times by a classroom assignment.
A D minus! I mean, that basically says "I wanted to fail you but I had mercy on your suffering and very unwarranted soul!".
I mean what did I do that was so horrible.
Given it was an AP course, I did get at least a C 2.0 Credit that quarter.
But still, how horrible.
I guess I can not think that today I am writing at a C level; at least G-d let it be that that is not so!
But of course, that is for the record books today.
So I am one of those aggressive self calculating souls that likes to find true justice and order in my experiences.
I looked up a charity today, now almost 22 years later and I made a donation of 18 dollars (chai) to the benefits of a Universities Development fund.
So be it. If there is justice up above, let it be for the cause that your author has the foundation of a D minus grade on his AP english term paper when he likely deserved maybe a B.

Split hypenated last names
Today, more and more people are named after both of their parents.
Names like Spice-Roy might be prevalent in the case that the mothers maiden name was Spice and the father Roy.
In fact, I do think this is a neat thing, but personally, I think that it should only be for the daughters. A son should take his father's name. No alteration.
Thus a son of a Dr. Sapter would be Mr. Sapter.
If a daugher is born however, I think that it does in fact look postive if she takes her mothers name and fathers name in certain instances.
I think that you could pass this from generation to generation, but in successive generations, the daughters should continue the mothers name line and drop the grandfathers name.
Thus the daughter of the marriage of say Dixie Chever-Barton and Drew Becner would be say Pixie Chever-Becner. Barton is dropped.
Seems like a fun situation to me and perhaps there will be more hypenated names.

Waiting on Messiah.... (????????)
I have read and reread the Tanakh and due to my interpretations, I disagree that maybe a real 'messiah' is on the way. And think about this. I say that Moses is the true leader of Kl'al Yisrael. Why would there be someone to trump him??? And in fact, if Moses is buried in an unmarked grave, why would G-d send us a man to lead us that is so special and so perfect that he would be revered for 100s of years? I suggest that this will not be and there will be no kever of a messiah ever because aside from the fact that Hashem most certainly has his own servants in every generation, there will be no servant that is to be over the top and working as someone higher than Moses ever. No kever for a messiah. No worth going to a rabbis kever and declaring he is the moshiac. The point is to WAIT UPON YOUR G-D. That message is clear in Tanakh.
Here is an article to illustrate my point:
http://www.vosizneias.com/95665/2011/11/25/queens-ny-thousands-of-rabbis-visit-spiritual-leaders-gravesite
In this the ChaBaD rabbis all go to their rebbes graveside. They do it year round and it is well known that many have declared him the messiah Ben David. I think that perhaps if there was a real messiah and he eventually became niftar (died), he would not likely be someone that our G-d wants the world to revere and make graveside concessions as the whole world would feel that was due. That is why Moses was not buried in a marked grave.

Offering a hand shake
In Israel, G-d is the source of all good and all benevolence that is brought down upon our lives in the form of Torah.
Existing in Israel is a status of life called shomer negiah. Shomer Negiah is one who guards his touch.
Israel is a place where men and women coexist; however, men are a separate spiritual composition from that of women.
Men shake mens hands of course and that is of course the geniality and generosity that exists among men.
When a man is offered a womans hand to shake, however, women are not constitutionally (not the American Constitution, but the constitution of the innermost part of your being) the exact make up of a man. Women exist in a different spiritual milieu and of course, if a man is to come into physical direct contact with a woman in the sense that his skin touches hers, namely I believe his own hands palm and the surface of his neshama that conveys a bridge to the nations and peoples, his own spiritual connection is altered. In the case of a man who is married or is a blood relative of a woman that he may shake hands; this spiritual connection is a true connection.
In the situation where a man shakes the hand of a woman whom he is not a blood relative; his connection to her spiritual milieu is established and it forms a bridge between the two people. This may sound simple and even to many innocent overall, but it is actually a dangerous practice.
Today, there is much freedom in the world and the world of women and men is such that there is always business among each other as well as in todays day and age, a lapse in Torah Judgement among many of the people that exist in most of the communities today.
Men who shake the hands of a woman that is not a blood relative expose themselves to a slight situation whereby the bonds that they have among their blood relatives and of course married wife are conflicted with that of the unrelated woman that is in spiritual and physical contact with their touch.
It may seem zealous to a few, but I assure the readers that this is a practice that will not result in your undoing completely, but it will leave footprints of deceit in your heart.
There are however some instances where a man can and should shake the hand of a person of the opposite gender that I believe.
In the instance when a woman is your governor or your legislator, she is no longer spiritually an equal at the level of being a relationship that you simply would find to occupy your heart as a normally placed woman does indeed change your spiritual connections.
In fact, it is a blessing to shake the hands of your governors or legislators as they are responsible for your own protection and well being.
Another case is that of a physician or attorney who has a physician patient relationship or an attorney client relationship. In this case it is my belief that you should indeed shake the hand of the opposite gender in this capacity so that they are indeed given the trust that you must extend in the office that you function.
When you are in the market place, it may be nearly impossible to avoid some physical contact with another woman as perhaps she is giving your a return or change or some other transaction.
In this case, I disagree that one should be overly anxious about avoiding the contact, but one should position ones self so that physical contact is unlikely.
In situations where you are a patient; there may be female providers and likely woman nurses and the like. This does not pose a threat to a shomer negiah status as that is your health and safety that is at stake. This is a tolerable situation and one should do what one must do to receive health care or other necessary treatments.
Perchance that a woman is menstruating, this is an absolute contraindication for a man to touch a woman of course, including of course his own wife or children.
So this I hope is a guide by which a jew living in this day and age can attempt to be a guardian of the touch and bring about his own health and happiness in this world.

Acts of Contrition
What is contrition and why does it matter?
Did you notice in the previous conversation on this blog that I said that other jews only donate to this charity for contrition. That was no type. You may have thought I meant contribution.
G-d is very careful how he directs our peoples in this world.
In the bible, Moses does not ever enter the land of Eretz Yisrael. He is buried outside the boundary limitations of Israel in Moab at Beth-peor.
What other reasons besides the fact that Moses in the words of the bible did not follow Hashems Commands on route to Israel was Moses required to be buried in a place outside the land of our fathers?
I will suggest to you that Moses's burial in a different land was really the act of contrition.
True G-d gave us the land that Moses lead us to survive and settle; but in fact, by going there, we had to displace other peoples. I suggest to you that having our leader not embark upon the same grounds is in fact contrition that our people must remember that removes the evil from our presence that will be encountered if we settle in a land that is by use in the possession of another people or other tribes of human beings. This does clearly not imply that Moses was in any way evil. He was a high and foremost perfect in almost every way servant of our G-d. G-d did all of his work for the future of our Nation through Moses.
But in truth, Moses never sets foot on The Land of Israel. He does see it from the mountain top Mount Nebo.
So think contrition when you see a people exhumed from their situations. Today, I recognize that our people here in the Nation of the United States of America are in a situation where we have just invaded a previously sovereign nation of Iraq and Afghanistan. G-d is truly our protector and I do believe that these events were in some way foretold if that is a possibility.
G-d however, must be absolved of the audacity that he would suggest that armies of the righteous nations befit a campaign in another person's soil regardless of the overall situation of perceived threats and over all considerations of true justice.

Surrendering your own peace of mind
I must admit that Israel is a foremost place that I feel I may someday wish to obviously visit. Due to budgetary constraints, this is not a visit I plan to make in the immediate future.
I have previously been with many people who clearly indicate that a Jew must indeed go to Israel. It would be a blessing indeed to go; though I admit that I would prefer to go for a family gathering rather than a simple tour of the visitors preferred experiences. True there are places to see and things to do and it would be a long enjoyed experience.
I was unfortunately in the presence of a friend once who mandated that I must indeed plan to go and go soon. I was to be 40 years old in a few years and it was told to me that it would really be essential and important that I go as soon as possible. I admit that it was a blessing to think of going to Israel, but in truth, I was quite aggrieved that I was being commanded by a human being to set my money aside and pursue a Jewish experience that is really a personal endeavor and not a discussion for making another person realize that his own "righteousness" is not complete until he or she arrives on the shoreline of Eretz Yisrael.
Sadly, this experience with this friend was really too much for me to accept as a friend and as a Jew. I have decided that today, I am going to give to a fund that few jewish people probably have ever contributed, except for a small handful likely who have their right and reason for making such a contrition.
Perhaps this will allow me the freedom of expression and solace of decision to make my own decisions and pursue my own needs as they are in fact introduced to my life.
Trust in your G-d that when it is your time to visit Israel, G-d will make it happen.
It would be poverty and weakness in my thoughts to limit myself in my pursuit of life, liberty and happiness in the effort to appease and follow the recommendations of another person who actually in this case is not even a friend today.

Why the bible is Hard to Read
The bible is not a simple toy or tool. It is a very serious document of the True G-dly word and purity of spirit, belief and being. Trust in your G-d that it is good for you.
I will admit that in my younger times, I might only pick the bible up at temporary intervals. I did not completely admit that there were situations that were troubling me when I read the bible, but the more I read, the more that its power and influence made me feel sicker or rather that my own innate sicknesses might manifest themselves in horrible spiritual and mental expressions.
There is a reluctance in the inner parts of your unclean spirit and your unpurified heart to attack your neshama as it reads the bible. Of course this is the evil inclination.
The more you read the bible, the more your evil inclination realizes its time is going to be ending sometime.
This results in a very angry and very agitated troubled yetzer hara. The yetzer hara will do all in its corrupt power to destroy your very involvement in bettering your own soul.
G-d is good and you do not obviously hate the Bible.
I will profess that in my experiences, there were times that an inner voice (not my yetzer tov) would give me a sentence in my mind that would suggest (chas v'shalom- be it forbidden) that I might do something to desecrate my own bible. Usualy this might end up with a mind trick that a certain part of my inner workings wanted to say spit on the words or do something that may be horrible to my bible.
Rest assured that this is part of the process. No one is clearly competant to stand trial before your G-d in their days of beginning their avenue to spiritual, mystical and constitutional purity as you would be encountering in all of your time as you read the Jewish Tanakh.
I will suggest to you that the best remidy for this is an ongoing small but significant contribution to many various charities. Do not limit yourself to only one charity and do not feel you need to make markedly large contributions. 15 dollars here and 10 dollars there will do exactly what you need to do.
I gave to a number of charities including places that I did not even live just simply to establish a change in the evil that was in my system. If you give to a charity in say Portland, Oregon and perhaps you live in Portland, Maine, you have directed the evil impulse to a shore far far away. This way the evil impulse follows the money that it loves so much and it will be far from your being and heart and mind and soul.
I recommend charities such as NAMI funds (to dispell any mentally ill situations), Red Cross Funds, United Way funds, as well as other charities. You can get creative. I gave to a few baseball team charities. I have given to community resource preservation funds.
Be aware that each time you offer a gift to charity, the scales of judgement weigh in your favor. It will always scatter some evil in some place or some existence.

Accidental ingestion of Treif
I must realize that most of the ultra religious people may not ever have this as an outcry of experience that they must lapse into their own disability of having eaten a non kosher item and of course at worst, a meat that is completely against the Jewish laws as evidenced in Leviticus chapter 11.
In fact, there is no spiritual death overall for eating a treif or non-kosher meat.
But that indeed is not a preferential situation and of course, it is a spiritual contamination and a very impure and evil containing event in your life and your experiences.
I was once a Jewish person who did not understand, learn or visit the laws of Leviticus 11. I often had consumption of the meats and items that are detailed in the Leviticus declaration of Jewish Dietary Law.
Orthodox dietary law requires that all of these items and meats be omitted.
With this in mind, what does a Jew do if he accidentally eats a non-kosher variety in his day.
I will suggest that there are plenty of avenues to improve your own poverty of mystical health and your own spiritual contamination that will ensue in the event that you are aware that this has occurred.
I suggest that one who ingests a non kosher item should visit the words written by our G-d in the book of the Jewish bible and then spend a good amont of time visiting the specific biblical chapters that hopefully you will be able to ascertain will help to purify your own being of this abomination of impurity and spiritual subtraction.
It is G-ds word that can indeed purify your being and your blood and your soul and your mind and your heart and your whole integrity of body and spirit and mystical form.
G-d is pure and by reading his words, you will purify that which is impure in your being.
I do realize that some persons have lived lives which have been without dietary concerns and dietary observance. This is a separate situation. For in this situation you were actively participating in your own contamination and impure destruction of your own being and blood, heart and soul and mysticism.
In fact, those who have actively been a participant in the spiritual contamination of their own lives are still acceptable as when they make a change for the better, that which has contaminated them in the past is quickly lost upon the full acceptance of Jewish Law.
Jewish law is a perfect endeavor and by adhering to this acceptable way of life that is perfect and righteous in its entirety, a Jew will indeed get the attention and consideration of Hashem who has offered us the laws to live by and bring us closer to his ways of existence.
So if you have eaten treif in the past as a way of life, the moment you are entirely within the confines of your commitment to abstain from this lifestyle, it is my belief that your spiritual strengthening with decontamination will begin.

Resizing the wall
The fact I did not expect to encounter in my years is that now in my 39th year, I have written a good 7 comments regarding the fact that I do not feel comfortable with Israel being split into 2 distinct nations.
If you read back on my blog this week, you will see that I have discussed the phenonimon and movement by which a majority of the orthodox religious believers in the Jewish nation have chosen to undergo a change in their attire over the years which amounts to a basic uniform of sorts that is worn and without any other self expression in the modality of orthodox self containing wardrobe considerations. We do not dress the same way of course that our Ancestors did when we were given Torah and we do not dress the same way that the modern day civilizations dress in this day and age overall. Yes we do look professional and well kept and that is exceptional. I am not endorsing an ego trip by which those who dress formally should undergo a metamorphasis by which downtime attire and casual clothing becomes the norm. Though of course, jeans and a sweatshirt are comfortable and always an acceptable way to dress in times of less stringent scrutiny and otherwise easier to tolerate experiences are to be spent. But of course, I do decry that there is a poverty and sickness in the fact that one might wish to own a single unifashionable wardrobe in this modern age.
I realize that this comes off as an attack against those in the religious graces of our society, but I must attest that this is not an attack and it is simply offering consideration to the faces of our future.
Let us prosper and enjoy the wealth of our G-ds creation in its entirety. Let us not have a dress code with a uniform unless we are in an armed force of our Nations. Let us bring light to the Universe with our passions for colorful expression and life like entitlement to deserve a good way of sharing our minds, souls and friendships with the world in our communities and our day.

Perspectives on America
I must write this morning that we all indeed must say "G-d bless America".
America is not just the most forthright collection of freedom loving human beings on the planet, it is also a major influence in G-ds creation and G-ds productive reasoning for the capacity of Humanitarian aid to be sent to all of the corners of this planet.
The simple fact is that America is true to G-ds design.
G-d blesses America indirectly in even the bible as if you read between the lines, the words G-d Bless America are evident in many ways.
True to G-ds way, America has founded itself upon the shores of a new continent. A place not harbored by the heresy and sorcery of the past times. The areas of the Country that we inhabit were once parametered by the Nations of the Indian people of North America. True they were not into the G-dly way of the bible and the aveunes of majestic form that were given to the Israelites, but the Indians were a very special people. They laid low to the winds of changes and they followed the spirit that guided them through their days and time.
The Indians were majestic in a whole way and their culture permeated a western world which was yet to be discovered.
Feathers marked the winds of changes that were to come and totem poles decorated the sky line.
Trust in your G-d to bring you to the future of course. And of course starting with Christopher Columbus, G-d issued in a time of involvement and spiritual energy that encompassed the winds of the world and blew in what we now know to be democracy.
Service to our Lord was firm in times gone by and those who flew the flags of Spain in that day had a Divine Providence that was to shape the nations.
Israel of course is G-ds lamplight to the world.
And Israel was indeed represented on the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria.
Israel came first to North America.
America was blessed by the light of hope.
So true that the American Indian nations were trimmed back and now are in other places and still emit their spiritual influences on the North American Continent.
America is blessed and it continues to do its work.
But consider this, America is here for a purpose. It is a magnificent nation consisting of the largest land mass of the majority of an assembly that acnowledges G-d and Salvation. Trust in your G-d and build the nation as it will form.
The cities are all named. The sunlight rises over the ocean in the east and sets far over the Pacific.
Homes are built and in 1776 an independant nation emerged which came to be based on a Constitution which merits basic rights and liberties to be formed into a perfect array of hope and justice. The name of our Creator is documented in our origins.
G-d is part of our Creation. G-d is in our homes.
G-d is the foundation of America and with G-d all things are possible.
Note here that the early settlers came from the Christian stock in many ways. They had their New Testament of Scriptures which many assumed negated the True Scriptures of G-d that was given to the Jews. Yet these people still kept the writings of the "Old" Testament and continuted to know that G-d was their guiding G-d.
True that Jesus was a mainstay of the thoughts and minds of the early settlers, thus why did not Jesus become the bedrock of which the constitution was written?
I offer to you that G-d is True and that G-d was completely in control of the Providence of Humanity that guides the Western Development.
G-d is written into our finances with "In G-d we Trust". G-d is written into our Constitution.
So G-d is in control folks and G-d is our Salvation.
Be it what it may be, G-d allows the world to continue in its preferred order at some extent and the nations of the christian influences and of course Israel continue to play major roles in American Diplomacy and experiences. Islam is new on the scene and has become a part of a growing nature in the American Liberty Venues and the Cities of our Continent.
America is a just place and it continues to shine.
But lets look at the 1940s.
America eventually brought itself into World War 2 in Europe and Europe was forever changed for the better. America triumphed in the face of the ultimate terrible Evil of the Eurpoean Holocaust and Inhumanity.
America is here and in 1948, the State of Israel was formed for the betterment and prosperity of Israel the people of the Covenant.
Israel is a light to the nations and America is the platform on which Israel stands.
So when you are saying "G-d Bless America", you are blessing the very platform on which the nation of Israel rests upon.
Israel exists because of America as a place on the Map today and Israel is likely not going away now or likely for the remainder the millenium, be that be G-ds will of course and I believe it must be.
So bless America and Bless Israel for they are truly the shaping of Western society and G-ds basis for a democratic and just planet and a universe of impermeable values that are just and with honor, dignity and salvation for all who cry out to G-ds name.
America is here to stay. America and Israel continue today as a force of inseparable life and peace.

Take Aim and Pray
I must tell you that I find that the Christian faith and though it has not been studied yet by myself, I concern myself that the Moslem faith and others all whom wish to pray to an entity do not pray directly to our G-d who is the Creator of the Universe. The christians of particular do have a Lord, but if that is not exactly G-d, its not G-d. Its a man per se or the man that they believe is the lord above. But in turn, I anticipate that the true target of these prayers is the emptiness that existed prior to creation. In fact, it is my belief that the idea of Jesus was to give the emptiness that existed prior to creation a presence in the world here and thus it was a destructive force that brings about the existence of evil. In my belief, evil was the result of the creation of something out of nothing. Thus the nothingness wants to rebel and return to its original state whereas the Creation continues and continues indefinately. So to me, the risk of listening to a christian pray to a god of his choice or a lord or when he mentions the "lord", he is thinking of perhaps the Lord of Hosts, but his aim is off. So I must say that I can not always acnowledge another persons prayer with an amen, even if the words were clerically correct. The prayer comes from the heart and thus it must be directed at a Supernatural Host. If it is directed inefficiently or inable, you can not confirm that prayer in your own soul. But rest assured we are not against the christians or the moslems or anyone else for that matter. I just suggest that you may wish to consider the heart and blessings overall of any person who makes them. And perhaps this may apply to some of our Jewish people as well.
But overall, G-d is true and G-d is real. That is so clear it is never to be disputed at least in the soul that I claim.
So be good and pray to the divine Being. There is One. He is One and his Name is One.

Jolly St. Nick
Segue here into a different world. The world of Christmas Music. It is Thanksgiving and the local radio station is already on Christmas music since last weekend. I must admit that being this little jewish boy, I was weaker in my youth and of course stymied and intimidated by the season of Christmas a little bit. It was not for me of course and it was all over the place. That was ok, but that music was just too much for me at times. True some songs were fun and you did like alot of the melodies, but still, it was about the man we do not ascribe our beliefs and that was not really proper and kosher to me, right?
Well, I will inform you that for 3 years now, I am a Christmas music listener. Clearly not non stop for 30 days not at all, but here and there. And on the Day before Christmas and the day of the celebration, I will put it on though perhaps this year I will be ok with changing to my MP3s on my computer instead.
So let the festivities go ahead.
As for one good song I listened to this morning, it was the Little Drummer Boy. Always a song that left me choked up a little bit. I asked myself today, why do I get choked up. What does this little drummer boy represent? He represents an honest boy. That is what he is. The honesty of the boy is a pure substance. So that song will be a great song for anyone of course.
And the music plays on and I will enjoy the day.
Of course, I admit to you all that I change the words of the Christmas songs to suit my own personality or my own religious beliefs. Its fun to sing over jesus with something else. The people who love all the lyrics wont find this amusing, but I assure you its a fine past time indeed.

Pathological Specimen
In looking at the lives of Jews from a sociological point of view, one must question as to where each jew derives his dignity and honor. Do they gather their belongings and ask for a new wardrobe in the springtime? Do you just wear the same situation day in day out?
I profess that one such as myself which I coin the term populist Jew gathers dignity and honor from my own sensibilities. Sensibility. What you do when you go to the closet and drawers and choose items to don in apparel for the occasion or for the day or for your home use.
I do not wish to aggreive my fellow jew, but I will profess that I can not see where one derives ones dignity and honor in the light of a situation which does not change day in day out.
I will profess that the black motif has been impressive. The rabbis look really well and authoritative in that motif. I will admit that the calling is clear and of course any jew looks good in a suit and tie; black coat not withstanding. But I will call you to the attention that there is no honor in looking 'good'. Just looking trustworthy.
I do profess that I admire the black coat and hat orthodox communities quite a bit. They are usually peaceful (though today that is changing in the streets of some of our communities), they support one another in many ways, they obviously are studious and adhere to Torah as they know they must do so, and they are completely in the capacity to think of their Creator and praise G-d as they do their business and go through their experiences and days. I must remark that there is a growing underserved class in the yeshiva system and there is always the child who goes 'off the derech' and is trouble for his family and community, in the light that they seem to view his or her indiscretions. There is learning and there are unfortunately distractions or perceived distractions. There are crusades against simple things that the general popultion of Klal Yisrael and the world take for common such as computers and cellular phones and the like. But of course, there is a prosperity among these people and they consume their lives in the service of our G-d as they think they see fit; though I will profess who is to know exactly our G-ds will at all times unless you completely understand Torah and its implications and its applications. That is always possible, but to think that each of these ultra orthodox chassidic jews has that capacity or that elevated level of learning is of course not authentic. There is a differentiantion among all peoples as to which one has the most innate Torah knowledge and which one is truly elevated at a higher spiritual plateau as well as who has completely at best perfected his own middos (characteristics). This is always possible for that is what Torah does for a Jewish mind or soul or being.
But of course, there is no perfection in a community and just dressing the same does not exactly denote that your community is perfected. I dare say that it might hide problems that may manifest in other ways. I will remark here that there is a poison about the method of treatment that is being used to conform our people to the makings of G-d and design of Torah Commandments. I am afraid that the truth lies in the fact that denying freedom of self expression leads to infirmity and self harm as well as disrepute among the community in the times you may pursue your own proclivities. Man was made with much variation from one to another. To look at a community and see the exact same expression is of the value of a wretched allowance of unripened fruit that will never ripen in totality. I realize that persons of the Jewish world in the insular communities claim that their expressions are their facial expressions, verbal expressions and speech. This is of course always true. But to the rest of the world whom you are not actively engaged in a personal contact experience, there is no expression and you are all a group of seeming automatons on a mission to adhere to a way of life that is not understood and not easily entered by the others of both Klal Yisrael as well as the general population.
I will suggest that this is a poison. It poisons the general public in some ways, though by education and sensitivy experiences, we are mostly aware of the changed expression of the ultra chassidic jew and we do not depend on trying to alter it in any way other than perhaps someone might smile at one another and say hello.
To me and please excuse my innocent claims of sociological assessment, this is the source of the dignity of the ultra orthodox chassidic jew. The poison that we exhibit in a sociological world is the direct embodiment of our own honor and dignity. It would be troubling to most of this world to be in a different method of dress and there is no "assimylation" among the persons of other jewish communities. The dress code is to the best of my observations always adhered to in many many ways in and out of the synagogue. I do not know the insides and outsides of the Chassidic movements and probably never will. In fact these writings I have offered today and some in the past will likely permanetly have me completely locked out of many social relationships if they are not received with the spirit that I am interested in improving the health of Klal Yisrael.
I can only hope for the best, put my faith in G-d and hope that my learning and my sensibilities guide me to a good element of trust and a postive experience. All of Klal Yisrael is designed to delight our Creator in all of its ways. G-d designed our people. G-d gave us our neshama and our personalities and our special light that is slightly different from person to person. Israel must endure and it will. And if I am here to serve the community at this stage in my lifetime as a physician with some insight into community health, please allow me to proceed in the commentaries I will continue on an ongoing basis on this blog.
With health and prosperity, I remain, a Soul that serves our Creator as best I know it possible.
Baruch Hashem.
Shalom Aleichem.

How I feel today
I have to report that in the last few hours, I have just reported some of the most unsettling of posts here on heresy and good fortune and on sir edwards convoluted tubule.
I must tell you how I feel right now.
This was dirty work.
This was not the work that Doctors enjoy.
I don't like it one bit and that bit on the Convoluted Tubule? I wonder who the wicked nazi is that is going to take my comment and skew it in an antisemitic tone.
But that is what is done. I sit in my bed tonight and know that whatever the effect may be, I am doing this in the practice of the healing arts and doing my job.
I realize that times can be difficult and I realize that thoughts can be troubling.
I realize that sometimes doctors are pretty scary people, especially to a preschooler, but in turn, Doctors have a job to do and they must do this to be a doctor who can look at himself and admit that he did all he could do and did not miss anything and did not skip a step or any of the like.
So tonight I have posted on the idea that we might want to reconsider our options as far as our attires go.
Actually it seems quite simple, but I assure you; as a doctor, I feel like a physician who in surgery had a contaminated waste material splash right up on his own skin or hands or face. This is not a good aspect of being a physician. Noone wants to be contaminated. There is risk of harm from contaminated waste and there is also just that simply disgusting knowledge that you have mixed your own personal being directly with the body fluid or feces or other unwanted item on another human being. It happens.
So I will go clean off and I will hope that I am not going to be infected by the hatred of the communties that I aim to serve as a physician.
Lets all go towards a positive future.

Decay of the light of Israel
I must say that I realize that my previous three postings will temporarilly decay the light of Israel as it is perceived among the nations of the world.
This is not actually what would happen if the true experience of every jew was to have some true self expression in his attire and belonging to a culture that is truly worldly and not insular of their own making.

Treatment protocols
I must remark here that my comments in the previous two threads will be considered by many to be an act of sabotage or even outright declaration of war against the way of life of a closed and self kept community.
I must admit that the facts are as they may be. I am a physician and I treat disease. I must study and acnowledge when something is not working well in the body and so too, I feel that those techniques successfully apply themselves to all other situations including an evaluation and work up of the general community. I would be amiss as a Jew to let the world be without repair. Tikkun Olam is our obligation and we must indeed heal the world.
So I must say that this is an area that I find to be in need of some healing.
Perhaps some of you will write me some letters and disagree with my assessment. I will gladly read and respond to your letters. I will likely also post your letters here and my reply for the community to discuss and consider.
I must state that if this was not a consideration, it would not be entered in this blog. I must say that I do not have a ultra orthodox community in my general location and I do not have any animosity towards any known individual or any negative experience that may be guiding what you may try to classify as a holocuast, but I would suggest to you is really a treatment based on knowledge, experience, practicality and understood Torah Values.
So please be my friend and consider my trust in my profession and my trust in G-d as my guide and my influence in all that I believe I am called to question and do. So if you can bear with me and forgive me for any turmoil my words have caused in your lives, please regard me as a doctor who wants to see a positive outcome and good health.
Lets consider what we truly need to do and try to indeed serve G-d as G-d would want to be served.
And if we are selfish or selfassuming, let us examine and question our own ideas and ways.
Thus we can brighten our futures and we can live truly as one Klal Yisrael, where Torah dictates our lifestyle and Torah broadens all of our minds.
I will go further to state that among those who do not dress in the Black Attire Paradigm, we are not too keen on approaching those in the community who are strong in Torah and would have much to offer to any Jew who is not conscripted in a Strict orthodox Jewish community. This is a sad situation as you may have much to offer intellectually as well as emotionally and socially that our people do not have and likely never will be able to build in our own homes without the influence of True Torah oriented Jews and True orthodox believers.
Thus we must come together as a jewish community.
We must find a common ground.
We must be approachable.
And we must do our service to G-d.

Edging out an era of inaccuracy
Dear Fellow Yidden,
I am a physician and thus it is my obligation to discuss health and wellness. This includes a discussion of symptomatology and make my notes and write my comments. I make my observations. I use my mind to suggest a differential diagnosis as to why we have something that is amiss.
To me, The black hat movement may indeed be amiss.
This is an era of course.
Moses was not wearing a Black Hat.
There is no black hat and suit paradigm in Torah.
I am not against Black Hats as I wear one myself from time to time.
I am against the limitation of self expression and the confinement of the soul to a one way selfish way of existence.
This is what I perceive.
I know that I am an 'outsider' among the ultra religious. G-d did not bring me into this world among the people who you are commonly accustomed to knowing and gravitating toward.
I must say that indeed I am part of Klal Yisrael. I have gone in fact from being in a less than religious community as a youth to a student of Jewish Writings and Tanakh and Jewish Law. I am clearly a lay person; but was Torah only written to be deciphered by the rabbis only? I stipulate it was not.
Here's is a commentary I found online tonight. I am sure that it is more involved but lets begin with this commentary.
http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/160970/jewish/Why-the-Jacket-and-Black-Hat.htm
Thus the rabbi argues that we can be better ourselves if we just dress in a black coat and the like. Thus he argues that the personality comes out much greater.
Does it?
Choosing your outfit is a complicated process. I suggest that many who dress rote like the Black Attire Movement are not fully using their mental capacities. They do not challenge their moods. They do not challenge their sense of choice. They do not entice an opportunity to be excited at a new experience in life.
True you may not be identified solely by the clothing. I found it odd that shoes were the culprit as well. I am not even concerned about someones footware. That is a completely different ball game.
I enjoy being in the company of other people. I like that I might wear a sweatshirt of my college or maybe a baseball team. It gives me some identification. It builds community. It induces conversation. It shows moods. It shows education too if you may add that.
I am familiar that some jews think that we must not express ourselves until the Messiah comes someday and that the Temple is Rebuilt. There are many who think that by dressing in black, we are in a state of mourning per se for the Temple. As we do await this era to come.
That is all good and fine, but I would suggest that by limiting yourself in a personal appearance, you cast aspersions upon those who do not follow treatment protocol. Thus you are grouping yourselves as people who are treated. You are treating yourself from your perceived notion of subjugation. You are treating the idea that Hashem is not ready to bring us to a messianic or temple period of time.
Is it your job to treat Gods decisions?
Is it your job to question Gods motives and do you suggest that by wearing black, you are decreasing the evil in this world? That would go to suggest that the other part of Klal Yisrael is Evil.
Was I evil for being born to a secular family of reform affiliations as a youth and wearing a less than desirable attire by the standards of the ultra orthodox?
I suggest that perhaps there is an evil in this situation. But it may be the selfish conscripted adherence to a treatment protocol that probably was not even designed by a doctor.
So being a doctor, I will profess the following.
There is a flaw in the order of Klal Yisrael.
There is a symptom of ambivalence for the blessings of Hashem as we are not going to even walk into a Macys and purchase a pair of jeans or a nice sweater that is blue or tea colored or red or bluish white or even light green or purple, yellow, pink, grey, almond or green.
Today is a good day folks, go to the store and get a nice sweater for the winter. I can assure you that Hashems eyes will sigh and smile and thus maybe we might really be closer to a Temple Era of the future. Just a personal and hopefully a professional thought as well.

Questioning the Black Hat Movement
Today Israel is divided. There are those who sport a black hat and black trousers and a black coat with a white shirt predominately full time without any other form of expression.
Is this really good?
I realize that these ultra chassic communities do inherently stay together and of course that must be positive.
But render yourself a commoner yid like myself.
What do you see when you look at the groups of chassidic jews who wear and dress in such a fashion?
You do not dress that way. I do not even yet own a black suit. I am not entirely of the same nation, am I?
But I am Israel! I am Jewish!
I can not just get in a car and feel like I am in the right place when I join a place where there are only those who follow this avenue of dress. I am quite sure that I will not be making a change to assimylate in this order of our nations Jewish people. I must remark that this truly sets us apart as now we are essentially more than one single people.
I am not going to outrightly call this heresy and I am not going to call it impurity or poor or foolish in any sort of way.
But I will say that it is perhaps selfish.
It is selfish because you now are the ones that the world identifies as Jewish and of course, you are the ones who are right on the "true path" of judaism.
Does this suggest that a person like myself who dresses in a different manner is not exactly on the right pathway?
I must say that of all the persons who dress this way that I have met, I have always been fond that they are usually very congenial. None seemed to be speculating on my clothing or my attire in their faces as I approach or spoke with any of them.
But I will say that I knew in my mind that I was not in the same uniform as the rest.
This is common day America and Common day Israel today.
We need to come together and be a part of a true Klal Yisrael.
Jew needs to be able to approach Jew.
Torah scholars need to be able to shine their light upon those who are less endowed with life.
Could it be that we are really off the derech? Did Hashem want for two separate bodies of Israelis or Jews to live in this world?
Is Torah self limiting?
Or perhaps am I correct to suggest that a one way way of dress is in effect, selfish?
I am sorry, but I will have to hold my position.
G-d is One. Klal Yisrael should indeed be one as well.
Just a thought.
My suggestion: Wearing only black hats and black suits and pants subtracts from the Oneness of Hashem.

My comment to the blogger named "liberalism is a disease"
This guy posts on the blog on Vos Iz Neias. I can not offer him assistance in changing his posting name, but I did give him a little bit of insight I hope.
Tonight I wrote to him: If liberalism is a disease, the pockets of your pants would be lined with your own breakfast".
Of course I suppose this might need a little explanation. If there was a problem with the liberal things in our world, you would not be eating your food off your plates. The very concept that we eat off of a plate is a liberal advance of prehistoric science. A caveman with pockets would certainly have put his breakfast in his pockets. Just a thought. Lets be careful what we say online.

Semantics of the mind
To my readers,
Tonight I discovered another heresy to report on this site.
The idea that someone is "not right in the head" is to me heresy.
Here is the letter I just sent to Dr. Brinkley of Rice who is noted on television for some of the positive work he is doing regarding the oil drilling situation and the environment in Alaska.

Dear Dr. Brinkley,
I am a physican and I heard you speak on the news tonight on the Ed Show.
I must say to you and hope that you convey this particular consideration to others.
When you make a statement that someone is "not right in the head", you denigrate that persons maker.
The fact is, you might be more successful if you use the terminology that he is proverbially "putting his spoon in his ear".
It might come off as more interesting and more thought provoking as someone sticking theie spoon in their ear is really not a very smart or intelligent thing to do.
So if I may be so blunt and candid to challenge you on this particular 'figure' of speech, please allow me to do so.
I will blog this entry as this indeed represents a heresy of some type.
Many thoughts,
Sincerely,
Craig J. Brenner, M.D.

Collapsing the evil around you...
True you can not change the world.
But you can heal the universe you experience.
If you have experienced evil in the past or feel that evil is somehow related to your future or you are suffering the influence of an evil decree (basically you are cursed in some way), you can give to charity.
There are curses and there is evil.
True you may not prevent a holocaust of the wicked or a horrible mishap such as a tornado or an earthquake, but the fact lays that if you give to charity, evil is scattered.
So it is now my habit that if I identify an evil in my day or perhaps I have a sin I have not atoned and paid pennance, I must give a charity check to some place that corresponds accordingly to the nature of the evil or the curse that may be in my situation.
This does work and it is philanthropy. It is always rewarded and you have nothing to feel that you have lost. What money you spend today will be rewared in even more proportions in some manner in the world to come; at least that is a Jewish belief and my own as well.
I have found that I have been giving to places like Red Crosses, United Ways, Nami's (National Alliance for Mental Illness), Medical Centers, Universities as well as some professional societies and of course a few Jewish charities. I find that perhaps I may or may not give to a charity in my own town or where I am. Sometimes in places I have been to or lived in the past. Just to finalize the situation that I feel my soul has experienced or continues to experience.
Ever had a situation that you can not get off your mind or that recurs in your thoughts from time to time and you just don't feel you got justice? Give to a charity.
You will be surprised how much better you may experience your feelings and thoughts in life.
Just a thought.
Either way, it works for me and I do it as I wish.
If you don't have money to give, there is still a way.
Take a check and write it to a charity and address the envelope and put it in the envelope. Buy a forever stamp and put that on the envelope. This way you have committed some finances to the cause and it implies commitment. Send the payment at your own ability perhaps in a month, perhaps in ten to fifteen years or more.
This is my policy. I have payments set up. I will send at my ability to offer the charity.
So thus, I do believe I get credit in advance for my intentions and thus just have to finalize the arrangement later. It does take your mind off of the evil that is afflicting you... And if you believe in a G-d or you have some sense of the World to Come, all that you donate here or intend completely to donate is credited to you in the world to come.
So thats that. And if for some chance you never get the chance to send that check where you had written it to be donated, that is all fine; thus your time has expired and of course your G-d knows you wrote that check and had the intentions to send.
Thats the best I can do. With G-d all things are possible.

Resolving to win the Stalemate
In my days I come to meet plenty of persons of high affluent status, lower means or higher intelligence or even marginal gearwork up above. In truth its all good and fun, but as I alluded to in my previous comment there is class Warfare in many of our lives and I bet that its in all of your lives that are reading this commentary at some level or with some particular relationship.
Class Warfare is a stalemate. The fact is you can never change the response of another group of people or another individual so you might as well not even try to comment. I am probably wasting your time and mine by even putting this in pixels today.
But I realize that stalemates can be conquered.
So today, I must remark that I will be making payments in the future to charities of specific natures in order to end a stalemate or otherwise to acheive an end to an aggreived situation I must endure in my lovely years of health and prosperity on this planet. Of course there is truly suffering in the universe and it is not just related to your physical health or pocket book. Minds suffer from much malarky.
Today, I am writing a 19 dollar check to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation to be sent in at some day in the future so that I can indeed help another person with a major medical illness that ends their life sadly in quick time.
Why bother? Well, I must remark that today a person whom I have known for some time is on my mind. When I visit this person, I feel that this person would pretty much wish I go away far away and not be their friend. And of course, if I had pancreatic cancer, I am certain that I would get some sympathy, but there would be no great unhappiness overall upon my direct passing from this world to the next.
So let me write that check. I wrote for 19 dollars, a strange amount of course... But consider that 18 dollars is chai or life. This in fact is one second above life so if my life is to be snuffed out, I will be giving just one dollar to the charity in the event that the chai part of the donation is actually used for my own life and suffering. So I do want to be charitable!

Keeping my silence
Being in the middle class myself as a kid and likely now as an adult at a certain level, I must always of course wish to improve my relationships and my own experiences. Of course maybe I will interact with other Americans in other social situations.
I believe that Americans can change their lives of course and of course there is always dignity and health in the future of a bright person who studies hard and is competant and rehearsed.
So thus today, I sit home most of the time pondering my next 'examination' which may be in the form of a social confrontation or a visit from another person whom I may need to convey senses of satisfaction and of course friendship.
To bad however that there really is such a thing as class Warfare. I have heard it on the news and I must say that I am waking up to the fact that it does even exist in the places and faces I have known sometimes over the years.
There is much fear that the persons of lesser social standing or lesser employment or lesser family structure will rise up and claim a throne that is accustomed to being sat upon by those in the highest reaches of our daily routine. True this is a figurative throne, but its a true place in the minds and smiles of our peoples.
So I go about my day and if I can abide as I know from the learning I have assumed by a Law that is given by a good authority, namely the highest of the high, I should be ok. Give me a comment and I will give you a reply. Ask me a question and I will decide what you are entitled.
Bring me a friend and maybe I will assume you are competant.
But if you despise me because I say was not given the opportunity to shine or given the chance to edit a comment you did not enjoy, it is all sad and unfortunate, as that my dear friends constitues class Warfare.
So do not assume that a pauper like myself is trying to put your robe on, but if I purchase a nice robe that looks better than yours someday, please feel free to complement me rather than exposing me to your spiritual and figurative manure that you wish to smear upon me.
I do realize that this may sound far fetched, but I do alas realize that there indeed is class Warfare and of course it has of course been discussed at various times.

Cherem Continued
I can not say that I have any evidence that the idea of Cherem comes from Torah. Unless I hear otherwise, I am going to state that it is not Torah ordained. I do believe without knowing all of the history that this is an inception by the synagogues in Europe in the 1500s or so to remove a person who they believe is so far away from the righteous practice of Jewish life.
I will recommend a fun book to read called the Coffee Trader by David Liss which is a fictional read that deals with Cherem in the synagogues of Amsterdam in the 1700s. It was a very thoughtful and enjoyable book and it does in fact discuss cherem.
In this book, a Jew might be put on cherem if for instance he does business with non jewish persons in town. In another instance, the main community would be imposed with cherem if there was a situation where they gave charity to a lesser regarded immigrant population of jews from the areas such as Poland. This is the contentions of the day and I do believe that they are quite historically accurate.
Of course noone is put on cherem today for having monetary dealings with non jews and of course charity to any jewish group is regarded as a high priority today.
But in that day, there were issues.
They may not impose cherem forever, but in some cases apparantly the did. It came with a pricetag and it came with a major conflict in the entire jewish world and for the persons it would disregard.
So its interesting and apparantly the ChaBaD itself wants to bring this back. I am certain that the fellow who writes the website www.failedmessiah.com is on Cherem. He is the person who posts the most negative information true in most instances about the ChaBaDs organization.
I must say that I am not interested in being the voice against the ChaBaD on the internet, but I will indeed include commentary that I feel justifies being included in a blog about heresy. And if there is good fortune, I will even include that in here.
So good fortune to all and hopefully an end to the wicked practice of cherem.... unless it is clearly a Torah axiom. I am quite convinced this is not so. So good bye cherem heresy. I will report you online.

The fallacy and heresy of Cherem
Guess what Jewish communities. Now that I am almost 40, I have learned in the last year that there is a special consideration that stems from the middle ages and to the best of my knowledge has been gone from most jewish worlds for about 200 years called Cherem. This is the excommunication of a Jew from the synagogue and jewish community. Though I am certain that situation can and may call for a person to be disciplined and perhaps if that person is so destructive to a community that the person could be legally asked never to come back such as with a protective decree of a legal ordinance in the general community, there really is not way that I can think that you can excommunicate a Jew from a synagogue and from Torah.
True that there are persons who are truly criminals in the general community; these people likely will not be in your synagogue as if they are indeed guilty of a crime against sociey, they will not be in synagogue since they may indeed be in jail perhaps. And if they return to the community they really deserve a place to worship unless they are continuing to be dangerous. Thus perhaps there is truly a stigma, but I think that Torah calls us to be forgiving and to work with the persons we have in our lives.
That aside, I will remark here that the contrary to the above is true today. I have been reading stories on an ongoing basis of the fact that some True Criminals are actually Sheltered by some religious communities. The ChaBaD recently had a male who was guilty of beating a black man on a street whom he had no previous contact (hate crime). The ChaBaD sheltered this person for 2 years sending him first to Canada and then to the USA. It is reported on the internet web sites (failedmessiah.com and I think matzav.com) that this person whose name I am not responsible for myself is indeed being extradited to the USA after 2 years in Israel, though with much difficulty as the ChaBaD is continuing to protect him.
Thus I can segue into the commentary about cherem that is on my mind here.
The ChaBaD is the group that today I am familiar with that frequently I am learning uses Cherem as a custom to silence voices of opposition. It is known that the Lubavitch Rebbe would frequently call upon others to excommunicate other jews who may have not supported him politically or have disagreed with him. I have been reading that this practice continues today.
I am not certain if I am in cherem right now from the entire ChaBaD movement, though I bet that if I continue to make commetaries like this one, I most certainly will be excommunicated from being able to daven in almost every jewish community run by the ChaBaD. I have indeed been assaulted in my own community for doing what qualifies as defending Torah Values. I am not welcome to the best of my knowledge in the synagogue in my town which is ChaBaD run. I have not sampled any other ChaBaD places nor do I think I ever really wish to do so.
I will say that this clearly limits a jew as in my town, the ChaBaD is the only religiously acceptable synagogue. A jewish soul needs to say kaddish. I am unable do fulfill this commitment unless I drive to a community where I am essentially unknown in a sister city which is about 45 minutes away.
Simple matter? Not really. I can do my daily prayers at home when I so choose. It is fine, but there is no minyan. Having faith in G-d, I am knowing that my Creator is aware of this major situation and I know that he is a G-d of justice. If I was truly defending Torah Values as I know that I was, I am not guilty in the eyes of our Lord and I can only assume that my limitations are considered and of course there will always be justice in this world or the next. No problem for me.
But to be quite honest here, I am increasingly concerned with this Cherem that is imposed on religious jews and likely the ones who are law abiding jews who simply are different from the rest of may speak out where noone else would dare speak against a group of officials who are bent to make their own laws and regulate the community with an fists of steel and iron. I simply can not accept that there is heresy in our day and I must continue to push the Laws of Moses where applicable. This is for the greater good of the world, although perhaps I may contradict the authority and preferences of a star player in the synagogue world if it need be and of course money is the major axiom today. Do not aggreive your fellow jew, that is written, but you should indeed reprove him where need be. And today's law is that if the other jew is making alot of money and giving to the synagogue, you just keep your mouth shut and abide by their dollar value. I find this completely disorderly and unjust and I will admit I am not a major muck raker in any sense, but if I am spoken to in a way such that Torah is Violated and I am aggreived, I will most certainly make a comment in my best fashion to honor Torah and to keep our values intact.
So I will obey the laws and if you want to do the same, perhaps we can all be friends.
If I am in cherem, G-d will hear my heart cry out and I am certain that my pleas will be heard high above. Perhaps you will be endowed with much financial pleasure and happiness today. What about the world to come? Good luck and may there be peace at high points, but if you are away from Torah, you are in serious contention for some dissay to come.
I can not be certain that if you want a place to eat your gefilte fish and drink your coffee on the weekend without the parlay of fear of another person saying something you just are not prepared to discuss is going to be the best situation in the long run! But enjoy your day!

Heresy and Misfortune!!!! (ie: intro to religious paganism 101)
Well guys, chalk it up to another chapter of heresy and in this case, just sad plain misfortune.
The rabbis are endorsing the yeshiva boys to BURN THEIR CELLPHONES.
According to this article on a quite capricious web site I visit, there is some new new heresy in the Jewish world.
We are burning cell phones. We must rid ourselves of the evil circuit board!!!!!!
Read and enjoy.

Whatever the situation, I can not believe that situations call for the destruction of property to rid ourselves of an evil such as what... lashon hora? internet access? Maybe downloading the stock reports or the sports scores?
This is a crazy time perhaps and if the yeshiva children are burning their cell phones, this is clearly a case of group think. Where is individualism? It was thrown out when the higher authorities told the yeshiva kids that they will get kicked out of the educational system when they happen to hold a cell phone in the yeshiva as it being reported online much today.
Israel has never been better! G-d save the gadgets!

Why you should eat kosher...
I eat kosher today. No surprise huh?
I eat as best I can, but if it is a forbidden meat, I will not touch it.
Here is what I think I know about the kosher restrictions and why they really work in many good ways for you and your whole being:
If you eat a meat that is considered an abomination, you are going to result in a situation of weakness in your entire being. This may sound weak and strange, and everyone who does not grow up kosher loves crab meat and pork and lobster, right?
I profess I did love all of those abominations. I am cured of my insanity and unwellness.
To speak freely here, I will make the following suggestions. You decide if they apply to who you want to be:
Eating pork cures your heart with hell. I suggest that if you do not cure your heart with hell, you will cure it with fire.
Eating lobster and crab builds your wall with shit. I suggest that if you do not do this, you will build your wall with blessings.
Eating octopus and eel and the like will drain your tank with sludge. I suggest that you may wish to forgo those types of experiments and drain your tank with patience instead.
Eating all the rest is all equally undersirable. I have figured many out, but I will not share as some get into some nauseating detail of their associations with your being.
Suffice to say, I can not think that curing your heart with pork is a good thing to do. I will cure my heart with fire.
Either way, eat at your own risk.
I will say this here,
I think that if you eat moose you will build your owls nest. Probably a good thing. Perhaps this is why Sarah Palin enjoys so much soup from the world.
I think that if you eat giraffe, you will build your own back side. I will definately try giraffe if I get the chance someday, kosher cut or not.
So eat well and think about what you are doing to yourself.
