An English rule you never learned until you read my blog

Possessives indicate ownership. That is why we use an apostrophe. But there is actually one possessive that does not appear correct if given an apostrophe. The word "fool" deems no apostrophe. That's because a fool owns nothing. Nothing belongs to him and nothing ever will. So to say that a fool owns a gun you say the "fools gun" rather than the "fool's gun". This is a neat way to think about how no one should ever be a fool. Ever. Thanks.
