I must admit that I have tried the drug Marijuana one time and one time only. My feelings on marijuana are this, if you are sick with a cancer or other significant medical reason that marijuana has its medicinal use, you are free to use it at the direction of a physician. That said, I am not for the recreational use of any mind hallucinogenic or substance that harms the inner being by damaging the neurons and neural connections that we make on a usual daily basis. Alcohol and nicotine do not merit this category in my mind as both are psychostimulants (nicotine) and psychomimetic depressants (alcohol). I do believe that changing ones frame of mind is a tolerant way of living by use of these two substances. But marijuana changes ones perceptions and ones relativity. That to me is against the laws of God and mankind because it sets you up for a situation that you will indeed be clamoring for a similar psychocaustic experience in the future. That is what I believe. So seeing that I have indeed tried marijuana on one occasion as a college student in 1992, I must admit that I am not clean in my mind regarding this belief structure. I have therefore made an $18 financial contribution to the Hazelden recovery program as it was the first that I was able to locate on my online search and I am not obligated to provide a donation for persons in my own vicinity on this particular need seeing that I am the guilty party and that I am not going to be trying this abusive substance any time unles authorized by a physican for a medical condition.
