Kaparot: The Jewish Chicken-Waving Ceremony To Absolve Sins

You will probably not believe me on this, but the Kaparot ritual is a very bonafide way to indeed remove the evil from your life in some ways. The evil in your personal life is confused when you circle your head with a chicken or a coin and then if you give that coin or chicken to charity, the evil is confused as to who to go with and it invariably leaves you and goes with the coin and the chicken. So it may seem like a very silly ritual and weird and all that, but it really does indeed relieve you of some evil, though what dose, I can not be sure.

If you really want to get rid of the evil that surrounds your heart, you must make teshuva (repentance) and the act of fasting, giving to charity, prayer and that sort of activity will permanenly remove the evil. So while I did do kapuros once in my lifetime with a coin, my best bets are hedged with charity and atonement based on fasting and the like. Just a thought.
