I am told by a christian that the verse 2Kings 13:21 where a man was accidentally put in the grave of Prophet Elisha that this means that G-d does miracles of a magic show so that Israel will eventually believe in its "messiah". I must disagree.
The point of this verse I think is that G-d does not bring us a fortune that is a fools gold.
The gold that is in question here is the truth and accuracy of a prophet.
In truth, G-d is not about bringing men back from the dead and the jesus story is one that is all times inferred as a way that G-d likes to resurrect men and revive the dead into a life.
I must offer that the meaning of this bible verse is not literal.
I must think that the reason that this story is added to 2 Kings is so that a biblical reader will understand that the Prophets really were holy.
They are not just average people who are blessed by our G-d. They hold a very special relevance.
So I am not one to think that Hashem exacts futures by resurrecting men and reviving the dead in reality. True you can hear a story of a man or woman who had chest compressions for almost an hour and more that is revived. This is not the same as the stories perpetuated by the false new testament.
