I might be so convinced that the way we might truly find peace in the middle east is to have the necessary partys get together and smoke cigars together for an hour or two once every few weeks or so.
Why is this? I have noted that in the time that I have been a cigar smoker, and going to places where people smoke cigars, I have never noticed one argument, one whimsical contention or any other hatred or aggrandizement among those whom I have smoked with.
Poor meet with the rich.
Orthodox meet with the unorthodox.
Strong meet the weak and friendly meet the not so nice at times.
This all seems crazy of course, but consider that there really was a time that smoking together was associated with making peace.
I suggest that this is truly a way that people might be able to spend time together and appreciate ones company and even diligence.
So perhaps we need an Israeli leader and a Palestinian leader to get together and smoke with one another. No need to share pipes. Just a few cigars and a well ventilated room.
See what happens.
I happen to even have a palestinian friend whom I smoke with quite a bit and he and I seem to have a friendly encounter each time. Magic or just the effects of good tobacco. I wait to see if this is a theory or a real truth.
